rural VA autumn ride
« on: October 30, 2014, 08:14:30 AM »
while foliage here in VA not as spectacular as that in new england there are some lovely vistas and views.
took ride to historic triangle of VA: jamestown, williamsburg and yorktown. area is chock full of history and nice rural roads. I have the additional advantage of being retired which allows mid-week riding on deserted roads.
ride took me down scenic byway, VA RT 5, to colonial parkway across the james river via VDOT run ferry (free!) and then back home. It's a 150 mile loop and a ride i do often.
I still haven't figured out how to insert text between pictures, i'm keyboard challenged.........help, anyone?
if you get out richmond, VA give me a shout and we'll go ride.
cheers,
