k75 T-Shirt
« on: March 16, 2017, 09:59:18 PM »
I've put together a design for a t-shirt for K75 owners. For copyright reasons, I don't think I can solicit sales/orders.

I'd love to hear what you guys think though!

Hmm. I wonder if by removing the roundel, we'd be in good shape?
I'm not an expert on this.

The drawings are from a copyrighted work and consequently their use is subject to copyright law.

Well, the drawing was actually significantly modified into a graphic. An argument that there is sufficient skill and creativity to call it an "original work"? I suppose doubtful.

BMW is similar to HD in vigorously protecting their brand identity.  :deal:   Even BMWMOA was not allowed to use the roundel.  I think the OP has the right idea in not marketing it for bucks.

Skill maybe, but creativity, no. It's a reproduction regardless of the medium.

Likely the correct analysis.

Now, to relocate to Turkey or some jurisdiction not party to the Berne Convention so I can rake in the big bucks!

I hired a company, which indicated they'd do it, but without the roundel. Heck with it... I'm in! How about one with just the engine? Those in the know would appreciate it. Those that aren't in the know? Screw'em!
