I am glad it is causing such an excitement. Oh by the way the cover is hand woven out of carbon fiber and has been custom painted to match the brick. It has been appraised too, highest bidder for the bike on eBay will get the ultralight <1lb fantastic space age cover. Hold your horns and stay tuned. Great grand reveal is just couple of days from today.

I'm holding out for a nano age cover, if I can find my glasses.

Be still my beating heart! It's gotten a ribbon, too! Or is that the price tag? If it's a ribbon, the glistening switch assemblies probably clinched that. It looks like it might be a user instead of a poser. Congratulations, prakash.

Did you accommodate water drainage from around the fuel tank cap when you reversed it? Living in the mountains, I'm preoccupied with controlling runoff and it seems to be soaking into all other interests in my life. :giggles

I hope you'll include closeup side profile photos, too.

Hey! Are you at Owl's Head?

Thank you and I am glad you like it. Purple ribbon was to ID exhibitor and nothing else. I hope they judged the event. The show was fun, we were there just for one day. Bunch of great bikes to pick ideas from for next year. By the way, we had to drill a hole on the base for the water drainage. I will upload close up photos/videos later this week.

Cool, all done.
Do you happen to have the rubber bump stop that attaches to the original muffler?

Not yet. There are some rough spots on the plastic which needs attention. Also the aluminum covers will need some polishing. I do have the rubber bump and I think it is still attached to the muffler.

Would you be interested in separating it from the muffler and mailing it to me for a reasonable price?

Don, the rubber is in great condition. I will try to take it out tomorrow. If I am successful removing it in one piece, I will mail it to you. You don't have to pay anything.

Thank you. The bike runs fantastic after the overhaul. Still few more cosmetic touches pending to call it all complete.

Be sure to lube up the tits on the sidestand bumper before you remove it.  Dish soap works good.  If you don't, you will tear the tits off.  I found out the hard way.  Expensive mistake...

Aren't you flipping this custom build? Just curious, but what are you planning to ask for the bike?

I have changed my mind. I'll keep it and ride it. This thing turned out amazing and rides like a breeze. My next project is a Ducati Monster 750. I plan to fully  customize and see if I don't like it enough to flip :) Thank you for showing interest.

Guys I still feel having a front fender will enhance the aesthetics, I'm trying to stay away from the OEM. Any recommendations on a aftermarket short style fender which may fit?

This is the only front fender that I've come across for aftermarket part.

Majority of the time, builders will simply trim down the OEM fender to their liking. That's what I did since it's the cheapest option. Good luck!

Thank you for posting the link. I looked at it, looks great. I started cutting the OEM this weekend, trying something unique. If the project falls apart, unitgarage is the way to go.
Following are some photos of the ongoing job. Plan is to get this on the bike by end of next week.

While the primer on front fender is drying, these are some finishing touches on triple tree and seats.
