Yes he is holding a good line . Very consistent. He does get a little too bold on some of the interplay but don't we all.

Hold your line and stay in control, be prepared to alter your course, everyone is out to get ya!

His chances of being a contender are few. The nominating committee has traditionally selected from the large pool of contenders riding the Tail of The Dragon.  The availability of fried chicken, white gravy and biscuits gives the USA an unfair advantage.

I think the major cringe factor in this video is that the field of view and perspective the camera lens gives a much greater sense of speed.  The other thing for most North American riders is the fact that we have to deal with driveways entering the highway at random spots, usually in blind turns. 

In Europe, it seems like once you get out of a village the houses and driveways are pretty far apart.  In places like New York, even in rural areas you can hardly go more than 100 yards without a driveway.  I know that while I was watching I kept looking for that woman in a large SUV pulling out while yakking on her phone.

I thought that was good riding with the exception of one drift out of lane in a corner, poor anticipation of the tight spot with the bus, and one overshot LH turn. To me, those three indicate either a little lack of attention, or bit too much speed for conditions. IMO, we just have a rider at 95% capacity, rather than 90% - or something along those lines - riding at 95% is more fun, but somewhat reduces one's tolerance for error.


I like the bike. I even like the flat brown (including gas cap). It makes me think of clay models during the design phase of a vehicle. I found this clip with more view of the bike and a groovy European lounge soundtrack.





However, I award two penalty style-points for wearing un-clasped gauntlet-style gloves that don't fit over the large, open sleeves of the jacket.

I think the camera being on a gimbal makes the leans look more extreme, too.

The 'Before' photo shows it had been a Polizei moto, likely with many city kms on it but well-maintained. Smart buy.
