'86 K75C saying hi from Alberta
« on: September 24, 2016, 02:01:07 PM »
Got her a six weeks ago and enjoyed the 2500 kms she's given me so far!  Wonderful bike, especially now that I put heated grips and the Laminar Lip on her.  Great forum here; thanks for all the info sharing.

Welcome! You certainly look happy. This forum and these bikes are greatly underrated.
Glad I stumbled on to the opportunity to add a Brick to my stable. So far so good!

Hi Lastunder,
Welcome and do enjoy the unique nature of these beasts. I ran into a guy yesterday on a Japanese sport bike. He asked about Heinz, my '86 K100RT. He'd never seen one before. They are a rare sighting around here, at least in my experience. And these bikes truly do come from a period when BMW Motorrad division took great pride in the build quality, innovation and parts quality with these bikes. They have long lives, apparently, when even looked after in the least. Heinz is just coming up on 67,000 miles so I am looking forward to loads more miles out of her. She loves the highway, starts so faithfully....the rear suspension sucks a bit but you can't have it all!! (unless you buy a Honda!)

Best from Ontario. Ride safely!!
