Starting the search again.
« on: June 24, 2016, 07:14:20 PM »
Moving across the country so I sold my K75s and am planning on another bike when I get settled in September. I rode my brothers Kawi 1000 and I'm thinking of something with a little more power.. I haven't test drove any, but am thinking R1100s . I drove an K100rt amd wasn't thrilled with it. it had not be taken care of though.

spent some time with an r1100s and was not impressed.  Flats spots, surge, power delivery much better with my K75 (what there is of it)  I'd look at the 4 valve K's for more power.

you are probly right. I drove a k100lt and thought it vibrated too much, and didn't like all the fairing. The k1100, k1150, k1200's might work. are the 12's getting too complicated? the rs seems like the model. like a little fairing, but not too much and I'll be riding in FL soI don't wanna bake. Don't need one till Sept and will ne in N FL, BUT

As you can see I have an '85K100 and once you sync the carbs you don't get much vibration in the rpm range you SHOULD be running in.

what about something like this. I know there are a lot of missing details about this one and it will be gone by the time [Sept] I'm ready to buy. I'm just thinking abouyt what I should be loking for. thinking K1100.1150, 1200? probably not black [FL] and do these cook your legs.
