Front wheel from K1100 to K100
« on: June 05, 2016, 08:59:30 AM »
Hi to everyone.
Unfortunately my budget for front end from R1 or GSXR is rather to small this time so I'm looking for another option for front wheel. I did successfuly instal reat wheel from K1200rs and works flawesly and looks great.
But with front end is not that simple because of more items to be replaced. So, having regard the financial situation and other bikes that are waiting for my "touch" in garage I decide go for short cut:

1. In front forks change springs for progressive one (suggestions welcommed)
2. Now big issue. If I leave old forks (k100 , 1983) would it be possible to mount front wheel from K1100 brake calipers etc???? I must definitely change front wheel as looks funny in comparation to rear from K1200RS. I do not want to buy front end from K1100 as that is so much costly as I do replace with up side down from other bike.
The best solution will be to replace just the wheel (new axe needed) from K1100 with brke disc from K100 and calipers.

Anyway, need suggestions (possibly with pictures) how to solve that problem with lowest costs, relatively lowest costs of course.

Thanks in advance :2thumbup:

Piot, here is the info from k100-forum.com, it looks like you need to change everything.
