Got the brick out for first time in 4 months.   Local cars and coffee.

This post is an example of why I think photos should be downloaded from computers rather than image servers. The ones from computers are permanent—as much as anything is. I like cats though.

Just the stock RT screen with deflector, drilled for pop-up vents and a go-pro mount.

Hey Don - thanks for that shot of Guadalupe. Haven't been through there in a few years - but it doesn't change, eh?

I went to Julian today, a mountain town in San Diego, famous for apple pie.

Stuffed a whole frozen pie in the wee-brick's bag and chatted with a guy on a K1600GTL (the L is for Lounger). I observed that two of my motors wouldn't even equal his 1600cc 6-cylinder. He said he had a K100 once but the upkeep was "killing him." He paid $2,500 to repair a leaking rear main seal. I guess he doesn't have many tools... poor guy, wait till that 1600 needs something major...

And here's a little example of a straight stretch on a minor road, leading into some luscious tight stuff in the trees.

Due to nature of my current job, I haven't had any time to ride the K75 for a few months.  And this looks to be the case for a few more as well.

I did have a free Saturday to drain the tank of old gas in the mountains above Los Angeles on Angeles Crest Highway.  I left L.A. to Newcomb's Ranch, then to Wrightwood, back to Littlerock on Pearl Blossom Highway to Highway 14 south and west back to L.A and home.  I made a stop at a crazy gift shop in Littlerock where they had 12 different kinds of Creme Soda and Unicorn Lamps alongside the beef jerky.

If you look closely, you can see the Progressive Shock that I purchased from Film Camera.

Edwards Air Force Base is in the deep background

The fuel light came on just as I pulled into the driveway.  That K75, she sure is smooth.

Great pics.  Those are some great roads too. I went through Wrightwood a few months ago - followed the San Andreas Fault line from there to Highway 33, North of Ojai.

I have decided the dry season is officially here.

To celebrate I went on a 70 mile run on the twisties this morning.

Had a blast even though I had planned to do a big loop on the twisties then come back on the freeway.  I got within 5 miles of the freeway and found a bridge out so I had to turn round and go back the way I came.  Still that meant a double helping of twisties!

Here is a  link to the ride, I tracked it on Rever

The bike is running well, it still has a big dead/flat spot at about 3500 rpm but this morning I was not that low down very often   :riding:

This weekend my wife and I took a little overnight break at the Arenal Volcano, amazing ride there, all twisties and narrow roads but lots of fun.  Once there we soaked in hot springs and went for walks to beautiful views and generally had a fantastic time alone without the kids!

Taking the old girl up the App Gap last week. After a long winter of maintenance, feels good to get some wind in my hair.
