I took the time to show this picture to may wife and said, "If it was a deer or a rabbit out in the field by itself you would feel sorry for it. Even if it was a cat out there you would feel sorry. Do you feel sorry for that lonesome Flying Brick out by itself?

"No"

She just does not appreciate a good motorcycle when she sees one.

Coming up on that field I just had the urge to ride right into it. No real reason but it sure felt good :P

That looks like it could be less than an hour from my house. Where was that picture taken?

Rode into NYC today for a couple of errands. Here's my bike in front of Porto Rico Coffee Co. on St Mark's Place in the East Village.

Here is a picture of my R65 Airhead the background is Holmefirth... the location for that famous TV series Last of the Summer Wine..."Compo" country over the hill in the background is the Village of Meltham home of Motorworks which i am sure you will have heard of, i live about 10 miles down the road.

Even though we are all about K bikes, it is nice to see a clean R65 in the mix from time to time. I think some of the R65s used a k bike front end. Anyone know if that is true or not?

May be the other way round... the later R65s (81 on)  used Brembo brakes and the same "Choke" on the handle bars as the K,s the one pictured is my "79" which features the origonal clam shell air filter and "Choke" mounted on it which is far prettier than the plastic air box which came in 81, the front brakes are ATE for some reason all the UK bikes i have seen are twin disc where as the US ones are single ??.

Where did you go?

Was just tooling around between Tomales, Two Rock, and Pt Reyes. Just enjoying a short ride on my lunch break. And of course i stopped in at Tomales Deli for some grub

It seems like the only time I get out to Two Rock is when I need a replacement ID card. Do you know anything about Two Rock's history?

Not as well as I should I suppose. I know it used to be an Army base. I'm stationed at the Coast Guard base out there. Makes for a nice jumping off point for lunch break rides  cool shades
