Dennis Kirk ~ Aftermarket And Freaky Fast

Been wanting a new tank bag and saw that Dennis Kirk had a nice Nelson Rigg on clearance. I was thinking about ordering it but then they added free shipping this week so I pulled the trigger on it. Ordered it at 8:00 o'clock last night, UPS picked it up at midnight and dropped it at my front door this afternoon. It helps that I live just down the freeway from their warehouse but still, that is incredibly fast!
Here's the one I picked up:

Cool.
Does it detach from the base? How easy is it to access the fuel cap?

Not that far yet, Tim. Barely have had time to get it out of the box. I suspect I'll have to unsnap it and slide it to the side, doesn't appear to detach. But I'll let you know how it works when I have a chance to try it.

Chance to look it over a bit. It does not detach. Will need to unsnap it at fill ups.
Won't have time to actually strap it on the bike until this weekend but am fairly certain I will come up with a way.

I've got an Eclipse bag that that straps down like that. Pop the two front clips, flip the bag backwards and Bob's your uncle.
