Wow, just when it was looking like the average age was falling I wander into the room.

Getting my first brick at 65.

Howdy, I turned 64 yesterday, Easter Sunday!  (wife sez she still loves me, when I'm.....)  Thought about dying Friday and coming back on my birthday but don't think the family would have appreciated the humor.  Got my K when I was the tender age of 33, in a couple year's I will have had the same bike half of my lifetime. :yow   Not many places, people or other things I can say the same for.  Must be something too these contraptions.

Ain't that the truth! Some deep thoughts come to mind but you must love the bike:changing bikes is less stressful than changing wives/partners(alimony)or losing friends(grief).

I've never had anything but a K75, have only ridden 3 other bikes than a K75 and have had K75s 5X longer than I've had any specific girlfriend. Obviously, I'm not a well person.

Both my Beemers are just half my age, but somehow they are eligible for the cheaper "Historic" registration.

It means you're eligible for specialty plates but aren't allowed on the freeway.

Classic Plates in CT do not have any restrictions as to what highways you can use.
Also the value for property taxes in the town where you live is limited to $500.00
So most of my vehicles only have an $11.50 property tax on each one.

I just had a thought about what you wrote and realized that I bought my MHR900 new in '84 and I'm now 56 so I've had it for 33 of those years :mbird . Where does the time go :dunno2: .

My town voted to eliminate personal property tax 25 or so years ago.  Real estate (property) tax is still in play.

22. Bought mine for my 20th birthday for $2k as a beater/starter bike since I of course was gonna drop it eventually. I’m now at 55600miles and I’ll drive this thing till it dies.

Doing well! Better come see it soon, I have it listed on eBay. Living off of the 219 and on a mountain was gonna make driving the thing quite difficult...

I'm 70.
Bought my first K75 about 2 yeras ago, so I'm somewhat of a newby at these bikes.  I have three of them now, they are kind of a disease I guess.
Own 7 bikes presently, two Airheads, an NX650, a DR650 and three K75's.  Gonna sell off a couple soon (i keep telling myself).

I am 60, have been riding and repairing bikes since the age of 16, with a hiatus of 20 years w/o bikes to raise the kids. Currently 3 specimens in the stable; looking for a house with a bigger garage. This is a great site, thanks to all who contribute.
