'86 K75C Brake Rebuild
« on: March 08, 2016, 01:31:30 PM »
The K75C project is slowly moving again now the weather is getting nicer. I hadn't touched the bike over the coldest months, and the pads had rusted onto the disks. The calipers came off easy enough, but it was clear a rebuild was in order once they were removed.

The calipers split open.

The fasteners.

Caliper halves.

Rusty pads and fittings.

Brembo rebuild kit x2.

New pads x2.

Stainless nipples.

Stainless pins.

Ready for reassembly.

Stainless pins with spring clips fitted.

Old mild steel pins.

All the pistons cleaned up like new.

New seals fitted.

Halves back together.

Nipples and banjo bolts fitted.

All done.
