K Bike EDC
« on: April 29, 2013, 06:27:34 PM »
Hello Brickheads,

Many people, myself included, normally carry a knife everywhere they go. If the person has more than one knife, one will be for daily use or ever day carry(EDC) for short. Items on my EDC list include knife, keys, phone and wallet. My EDC list for my bike includes an extra key, back up gloves and a small flashlight.

Other than the factory tool kit, what do you include in your K bike Every Day Carry? Glass cleaner? Road flares? What?

No.....But she was.....      :riding:

But that does raise another conundrum.....Once while heading to San D. Cally to surf with my brother, I stopped for the night somewhere along I40.  Struck up a conversation at the bar with a rather attractive lady and was "hoping" to put some of my tank bag contents to the test!.......... We of course started talking Motorcycles......When we went outside and she saw that it wasn't a Harley....she just walked away.....   hmmmmmmmmmmm????     :dunno2:   giggle

The factory tool kit, leatherman, zip ties two different sizes, electrical tape, map, fuses, head light bulb, tie downs, extra mag for the GLOCK.  I am still working on things to carry as I go to different places.

If you need an extra mag for the Glock, you are in the wrong area.

So I should post my EDC, rather than just making fun of ole' money bags :euro... :neener: :hehehe

Mines pretty boring though, but I got to use it last weekend.  I took a long ride for breakfast Saturday morning, got there, had my B-fast, and went back out to a no start...Boo.

Tried a wimpy attempt at a push start, with no dice.  Pulled back into a parking spot, starter was making noise, but not turning the engine.  So, look at the starter, press the button, wait Holy Shit!  The 2 cap screws that fasten the starter to the bike are backed out a good deal, like if I had gone much further they would have probably bailed...

Whip out the handy-dandy Beemer tool roll, low and behold I have the correct hex key.

Anyway, I have the stock tool roll, the plug and cartridge refill tire kit, a wash cloth size piece of generic Sham-wow :riding:, and some spare fuses.  I keep my 12v adapter in the tool box under the seat, it plugs into the battery charging pigtail, so i can run a GPS, phone charger, or whatever.
