American Motorcycle Tire

in a world where the superstore... the zilla... and others chisel away for market share... americanmototiredotcom have been consistently been less expensive and just as fast getting the tiors we need...

i like that you pick the size and they list whats available with specs such as load rating... email order status and online order status at every fork in the road...

American Motorcycle Tire

I decided to try out a pair of Metzeler Sportec Klassik tires on my K 75 before the company is completely given over to its mainland Chinese masters. The Lasertecs are almost worn out. I ordered these tires from American Motorcycle Tire. Not only did they get UPS delivered in 30 hours with no charge but they were ten bucks cheaper than the competition. Shrink-wrapped and no problems.

This is the second time I've used American Motorcycle Tire. If they've got the tires I want, I'll use them again, too.

You'll have to post back with how many miles you get out of them. Those are the radials right?

Is Metzler being bought by a Chinese company?

The Sportec Klassiks aren't radials. I haven't gotten that adventuresome yet. The Lasertecs get 6k–8k miles before replacement depending upon how much gravel road I'm riding. I buy them because I like their handling on wet roads but their tread pattern seems delicate. It takes some luck to get them passed in a motor vehicle inspection after they've got 6k on them. The Sportec Klassik is a completely different design and seems like it might give better gravel traction although I'm not counting on that. It'll be fun to see how they perform.

Here's a report on the Pirelli-Metzeler acquisition.

Whether it means anything or it doesn't, that's arguably one reason to go with Shinko's

Yes, that would be the Continental Classic Attack Radial.  They are the only tires I like better than Michelin Pilot Activ on my monolever R bike.  Luckily my K11RS can fit Pilot Roads.

Agree with American Motorcycle Tire as an excellent supplier.
