Show Us Your Motobricks
« on: May 07, 2011, 01:48:18 PM »
O.K., here's the deal on this thread. It's about your K-Bike pictures. We want to see 'em, everybody wants to see 'em. Parked on the street, in your garage or along the way on your favorite ride, beside lakes, streams or rivers. Doesn't matter but it's about K-Bike pictures. Feel free to comment on how nice the bike is looking that day. We all like that but please don't turn this thread into a chat session. Send a PM or open a new thread if you want to discuss something else.
But if you can't help yourself go ahead and post away but be forewarned that we'll let the posts run their course and then they will disappear after a few days and we'll get back to what this thread is about, K-Bike pictures.
So let's see 'em! Here's mine.

with added highway pegs.

There you have it.

1991 K100RS

Been riding BMW's for 35 years, I have had this K100RS since 1993.

The wife and I near Gunnison, CO. 2006

Devil's Tower, WY. 2008

Grand Tetons, WY. 2008

Hitting 100,000 miles in between Laughlin, NV. and Kingman, AZ in 2009

Valley of Fire State Park, NV 2010

110,000 miles near Mt. Charleston, NV.  2010

I had the bike re-painted and the wheels powder coated black in 2008.

Happy to be a part of this forum, all very sweet K bike pictures in this thread.

This is the same pic as I posted in the intro thread.  Unfortunately, the bike is parked in the garage, but at least it's current :-\

Thanks for the nice comments, it is hard to tell, but the paint is actually a "pearl" white.  The original paint was starting to fade out, plus the scratches and rock chips began to take their toll, so a complete custom paint job was called for.  As for the powder coating, the service manager at the BMW shop made sure the wheels were done without changing the axle openings.  Here is a better pic of the pearl white color, taken when I was riding back from Laughlin, NV.

Nothing wrong with R bikes.  K bikes need something to pass other than Harleys. ;D

Overlooking Mono Lake   (Leica IIIF / Tri -X, my K is not my only "obsolete" travelling companion).  Long way 2 up from Boston.

Question - looking at all these nice RS Bikes, is the rear half of the K11RS Front fender a straight swap for the LT one?  Much cleaner, and no need to fiddle with the fender to get at the calipers.
