WB: K75 Low Seat and Hardware

I recently purchased a K75 that was missing its side panels but when I investigated further it actually was a K75 Low Seat model. One of the previous owners took off the seat and hardware and replaced it with a stock seat, now I need the original low seat and all the hardware required to convert it back to stock. Any help would be appreciated.

i wanna make sure i understand... you have a k75 that at one time was a low seat model...

someone removed the low seat and its hardware and installed a regular seat...

does it still have that long cord hooked to the abs brain in the bung...

You might also want to consider trading.  Look around long enough and you'll find someone who want to fo the other way. (Cheapest that way too.

Hi,

All of the low seat hardware was removed, I also have a K1100RS and I was able to compare the parts. I went to my local dealer and most of the parts are available, but at a price. I agree I'd like to find someone who has removed their low seat and get all of the hardware that way but we'll see what I can find in cyberspace.

so you need the whole deal... just the low seat and low seat hardware aints goona get it done...

the reason i asked is i gotts a low seat and low seat hardware butts its futile without the other stuff...

The L-Jet is below the seat above the battery on both regular and low seat models.  It's fhe ABS brain that goes in the tail cowl.

I was able to locate a low seat but I still need everything in #3 and the wrap around piece for the gas tank and the tab on the back of the tank to attach the seat to:

I don't really know, I was asking myself that same question. I thought it might be for the strap on the seat but I could be wrong.

From what I can tell, it is not for the seat. My K75 came from the factory with the low seat and now has low Corbin installed. Not to happy with the Corbin but it came on the bike. I still have the factory seat but need the trim that fits on the tank. PO got rid of it. Why do that?
Why? Why? Why? It does not make any sense. I do not have any hardware up for grabs right now. Might consider dumping the Corbin if I can find the section for my tank.  Keep in touch with me.

FWIW My local dealer claims that hardwear #27 is a helmet strap to fasten your to the bike if you have the low factory seat. I will try it out this weekend.

Cheap ass engineering for helmet security,read totally worthless. (strap is easily cut by a thief)

Hell, buy a dollar store bicycle cable lock and lock your brain bucket to the wheel instead if your paranoid about ripoff.

Thanks to Phil I now have all the bits for the low seat. And as a bonus I was able to meet Mr. Marvin in person and have a nice visit with him.

Low Seat Conversion Kit for K75 / K100

Conversion kit for converting BMW K75 to factory low seat (2 inches shorter than regular seat). Everything you need to convert your K75 from regular-height seat to low seat, which is made up of all the parts I removed from my K75 while converting it to a regular seat. May also work for K100 models.

Kit comes from a low-mileage (24K) 1992 BMW K75. Every part you need is here, in practically new condition, cleaned and individually wrapped in one package - boxed and ready to ship if needed (shipping extra).
