Missing Rubber handle bar end, P/N help? Source?
« on: January 12, 2021, 09:06:59 AM »
The RH handle bar end on this ‘93 K1100RS fell off somewhere, and it’s eluded my parts book search. The thing is a simple thin rubber cap that was glued to the end. Can anyone here help me find a part number to try ordering with? I figure there has to be a few laying around, but the variety of bar ends available makes description a bit foggy. I suppose a photo would be a smart move here.....

Correct! From your description it seems homemade or aftermarket.

Some of the grips I've used came with a plug/cap. You could do better by upgrading to either alloy or steel bar end caps. A lot of motorcycle accessory shops stock them or try Fleabay.

Part number 32 71 2 307 452. Part in the middle of the picture.

 Not glued. It snaps on.

Thank you!  Thar’s the thing all right. I guess mine must have given up the snap fit at some point since the base is covered with old glue, looks like more than once too. Hopefully they are still available. It’s a small thing, but just ugly and obvious!
............... MINUTES LATER,  it’s on the way!  Part and shipping, $11.53.
