Long time reader. First time poster. I purchased a 1992 K75 Standard from a friend's estate (long sad story). I had always lusted after the K75 when it was first introduced. With my riding partner's passing, I purchased this:
- to see if the lust was well placed
- to see if I could do long distance on it
- to have another BMW because I cannot get the blue and white Kool-aid out of my system (owned a R1150RT for a decade). Gotta love German engineering (my first car was a VW Beetle).

Me too!  Can't say it really enamored me to German engineering though, with a heater that tried to asphyxiate me and a woeful 6v ignition.

Laitch asked, "Please post photos of side profiles at seat height."

I would, however I don't have any, and have already pulled the Corbin cover off and am gluing foam on, as an experiment. Best picture from the side is this one with the seat just sitting on the frame

Welcome aboard, I rode the K75 today, and had 2 strangers start talking about BMW brick's, as we waited in line at UPS. One guy still has an LT, and the other rides an RT. Super cool way to pass the time.

If you still have the cover off, it's worth putting in some silicone for long ride days. It's easy to do, and the most time consuming part is scraping out the foam with a rasp. The pic is from the Harley I'm working on now.
