Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan
« on: September 30, 2019, 02:53:30 AM »
Bit of a sad day today, sold my Vulcan.
What a reliable, massive, mean machine, this has been.
Anyway, I'll take the brick for a ride then, and everything will seem right in the world again.

Congrats, I'm sure you've made another rider very happy as they burble down the roadway.

Nothing wrong with your thinking! The Vulcan 1500 is 1464 to 1470cc depending upon the model. His V Star is the 650.

Thats it. The burble is one of the best things about it.

Yep, i spose electric motors will take over, and it needs to happen, but I'm glad i lived in the petrol era. i love the sound of a petrol engine, and i like changing gears.

This is the classic (extra torque) model, i dont remember the exact cc's.

Help,  I'm in dire need of reasons as to why I'm not an idiot. I just bought this bike back. I sold it privately but saw it for sale at a dealership. Apparently the previous owner took it in for a service, then on the way out,  saw and fell in love with a newer model Vulcan and traded it in.

Reason #1 I'm not an idiot; I sold it unregistered for $3,000 and bought it back for the same price but including rego, roadworthy, service and a few other improvements I asked for.

Reason #2 it will be my only cruiser.

Need more reasons.

My first line of defense is to leave my helmet on until the dust has settled.

Or should I just plead not guilty on grounds of mental impairment?

Am I totally mad, or just partially?

You're on MotoBrick, therefore, not an idiot by Webster's definition.
Investment-wise, you just made a positive incremental gain in a reasonable bracket of time, and know the history of the ride. Kudu's
Everyone is partially Mad ... just have another Foster's.
You're fine, keep riding. :)

Am I totally mad, or just partially?

Depends. If you lost a massive amount of $$ selling and re buying it yes.  If you made money you're a genius.

He's roughly 97% more likely to drink anything else except Foster's, unless he's mad, so if he does drink it, that would confirm his condition. :-) Foster's major market is Europe but it doesn't seem to be within the top 10 ranking there either.

Too right Laitch,  I'm not into fosters,  I prefer my beer without the aluminum aftertaste.
