I use Dielectric, non-conductive. Prevents stray current from leaking, but more importantly it prevents air from getting to the metal terminals and causing corrosion/oxidation.

Depends...
Dielectric grease (silicone) is good for bulbs and large connectors to keep the elements out but dielectric is an insulator which can present problems on some connections.

When I worked at the Chevy shop we used dielectric lubricant to help prevent fretting and moisture intrusion on fine pin connectors.  The only product I know of that actually enhances connectivity is Stabilant which is insanely expensive.
