85 K100 cafe racer seats
« on: August 05, 2019, 08:36:29 PM »
Hey all, I'm looking for cafe racer seats that will fit an 85 K100.  I thought about going with a custom seat but wanted to see what other options I have. I've come across a few but hoping someone can point me to more options, I'm not having much luck on my own.  Many thanks in advance!

This is her.  I love everything about it except the seat, it's just cheap sheet metal that's starting to crack and isn't very comfortable.  It wasn't running when I bought it, have been spending my time fixing the brakes, injectors and electrical issues.  It runs great now so I feel I'm ready to address cosmetic issues.  Many thanks for the links!

I didn't think they were supposed to be comfortable.

Well true but at the very least I'd like something a little more durable and well made, the one I have now won't last another few thousand miles

You should be mindful that any seat assembly you purchase that extends beyond frame support will likely need extra reinforcement, fer gawds sake.

Café 4 racer has a fine selection on BMW K custom parts including seats and cowls designed specifically for k bikes. Including some that work with the existing side covers

They export to the UK so I don't see why they wouldn't export to the US too.
