Hydraulic clutch- K100
« on: August 03, 2019, 03:58:58 PM »
Has anyone fitted a hydraulic clutch to the K100?

I need to replace the right handlebar switch on my K100 and have a VFR800 that I can use as a parts doner.
The VFR has a hydraulic clutch....

i suspect replacing switch with correct k-bike one will be A LOT EASIER AND CHEAPER than trying to kludge on a complete master, slave and reservoir hydraulic clutch system from a completely different bike.

and you mean LEFT switch?  not sure how the right switch is related to the clutch..

Hahaha.... no,  right switch is toast, left switch is 💯 but it will look kinda stupid if I only replace the right one .....that’s where the Hydraulic clutch bit comes in. VFR800 has what I need (and is free) but has a hydraulic clutch.

So......K100 scrambler with a Honda switches & hydraulic clutch ch 👍👍👍

I've never heard of anyone trying it, probably need some creative fabrication for the slave cylinder.  Not sure if the difference between a multi-plate wet clutch and a single plate dry clutch would enter into the equation.

+1 As per Chaos you would need to work out where to mount the slave cylinder and also calculate the correct throw distance (travel).
