91 K75 Conversion
« on: July 25, 2019, 08:59:11 AM »
Hey all , just thought I would post some pictures of my 91 K75.  Was a fun project about a year in the making.  In fact I loved it so much I bought 95 K1100 to work on next.  If I can offer any help with others doing conversions please let me know.
Thanks
Dave

Kudu's on the build. The headlamp pod bracket is very industrial looking! I like the use of gold tone's and lack of chrome that plagues a lot of youneek builds.

Well done! It looks like you took great time/effort and it shows. Are you using the Motogadget M-Unit?  :bmwsmile

I did not, i went the route of BEP/ acewell.  I think on the k1100 I will go the motogadget route.

Hopefully, you'll start a build thread on the K1100. I don't think anyone has done a build thread that involves the M-Unit, so it'll be good to document one on here.

Yeah,
I could have spent more time documenting my 75 build.  I have already taken all the fairings off the k1100. Not one picture !

I know this is an old thread but I just have to say this bike is amazing. I particularly love the seat. I will be starting a k75 build very soon and would to replicate your seat. Is it 100% custom or are any parts store bought. Is their anyway, if your reading this, that you could give a novice like myself some tips or point in the right direction? Thank you so much.

I give you a tip from 1 novice to another: Save your precious time and money buy a build off Ebay or Craigslist or caferacer

Hi, I know this is an old posting but I'm curious to if you ever did that k1100 with the m-unit? I'm doing one myself and are considering converting to an M-unit. Any info would be appreciated.
