K1200 RS in Detroit
« on: July 23, 2019, 01:25:15 PM »
Hi:
Saw this roaming craigslist.

https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/mcy/d/brighton-1996-bmw-rs1200/6935534320.html

Looks decent, with the turn signals intact.

What's with these ads? The model of this moto is incorrect. It has all the appearance of a K1100RS but is being sold as an RS1200, which must be a failed prototype or a delusion evolving from the latest heatwave.

Personally, I prefer the 1100. Less bloated.
The paint scheme looks odd on this one, though. Not quite the special silver that left the BMW factory.
