K100 led rear light
« on: July 22, 2019, 03:13:33 AM »
Hi,

I am building 1985 K100 caferacer and I have some dificulties with led taillight. Its some chinese assembly and has three wires.
I got it working like this: ignition switch on there is really dim light, pushing brake makes it brighter.
What wire is what in the bike? Or how should it be connected to the bike harness?
Thanks!

Thank you!  Yes, in fact I got my LEDs from Drake.  Somewhere I found the jumper config to deal with the affect the BMU was having on the LED's.  It was passing enough voltage to turn on the brake lights.  This is with the BMU module removed and jumpers on the connector it would plug into.

The new tail light is super bright and even brighter when I hit the brakes, plus I like the strobe affect when I first hit the break.  The affect is programmable... number of flashes, brightness.
