New LA brick rider
« on: July 12, 2019, 07:26:52 PM »
Hi guys,

French guy in LA, my first bike was a Solex 3800 :-P and last was a Vespa PX150 - can't wait to explore the canyons around... Just bought Gertrude yesterday, a 1992 K75 with 60000 miles. She looks good (and heavy compared to what i am used to!), need to put back the original handlebars, actual ones are too low for me, not too much into the racer mood... Have also to change the low Corbin seat to something higher (I'am 6"2) and nicer...
Happy to be part of the community!

Bonjour! Everyone's probably told you about the Crest Ride, Palomar, and PCH north past San Simeon. Enjoy.

I've been looking for low seat hardware, would you be interested in making a trade for standard seat and hardware?

Nice looking bike! Another low seater!

Welcome and I know exactly what a Solex is (though I’ve never ridden one, only a few old Mobylette’s in my time).

Hi Braap!
Thank you!
Low seat in process to be replaced - I'm too tall...
I still have the Solex, it is rusting in my great-grandmother rabbit cage barn right now, would love to bring it here for some California cruising! An amazing little machine...
