Hello from Countryside iL ( Chicago)
« on: July 12, 2019, 03:58:14 PM »
Hello everybody. Couple of days ago I was browsing through Craigslist and I stumbled on to a 1990 BMW K75. It is a project bike , non running bike, but it was relatively low priced. I contact the seller, and few hours later I was trailering it to my garage. The has 26000 miles on it. I have always liked the looks of the BMW K bike, and I just couldn’t pass on this one. I love bikes, currently my main ride is 2014 Honda CTX 1300 that I purchased brand new. I also own a Honda Rebel,Suzuki GZ 250 and a Kawasaki EN 450 ( very similar to LTD 454). I’m Looking forward to learning about the K75 and hopefully I can put it back on the road. I’m located in Countryside IL ( Chicago southwest suburb) , up to a recently I had a BMW Dealership 1.5 miles from my home, but unfortunately the they went out of business, it was sold to a new owner, and the new owner only wanted the building and not the Motorcycle dealership, so they closed it out. All the best and thanks in advance for all the content that all the members have posted .

Right off the bat you'll be saving money. You can get parts you need online from MaxBMW, Bob's BMW, other specialists and eBay, and forego paying professional techs to be frustrated when you can be frustrated yourself for free.

Good luck with this moto! It looks like you have a low-seat type. Put the model and year in your signature right now so it will appear with every post as a reference.

Welcome. You're going to have so much fun discovering the nuances of your brick. Not difficult to work on, just takes some patience and workshop manuals. Lot's of great info/advice here too.
