I ride on a K75 bench seat. I wear Seattle Scorpion Codura overpants. I weigh around 180lbs. This combination of circumstances means that I tend to slide on the seat occasionally after bumps, during quick acceleration or braking and my passenger slides some during two-up riding. I do use the tank's knee pads and they help.
Looking for mitigation of the sliding, I found a video at Midweek Moto Hack. He convinced me to try it despite his accent and his symmetrically-frosted beard. I make allowance for the effects of genetics and culture. That's just the way I am. :giggles My method of applying it differs slightly from his.
In the morning of the first day I tried it, I thoroughly shook the bottle then lightly sprayed it on the surface top and sides of the seat. I didn't wipe off excess from the seat's surface because it didn't appear unsightly, I was going to be sitting on top of it anyway and I was sure my overpants would take care of wiping off the excess. Thirty minutes after the application, I rode. It works! It greatly lessens the sliding but doesn't affix me to the seat like Velcro. I sprayed the seat again the next day and can assert that the product's gripping effect is still working four days after the second application. So far I like it—this is the honeymoon phase.
:yippee:
Is it degrading the vinyl or clothing fabric like necrotizing fasciaiitis, or is it about to consume me from the anus inward like William Burroughs' talking asshole? The jury hasn't returned with a verdict.
Glove Glu is the product—$14.00 Amazon Prime was the price when I bought it last year. I just got around to testing it this year.
