attaching mirrors
« on: February 05, 2019, 07:25:50 AM »
Anyone have a better hint on how to re-attach the mirrors to the fairing, once the head of the bolt is loose?
On my '85 K100RT the bolts (threaded rod?) kept spinning as I tried to attach the mirrors to the fairing.
Since I did not have twelve nuts to be able to double-nut each one, I used a Dremel moto-tool and cut a slot in each one. Then I held the bolt in place with a flat screwdriver, and used an open end 10mm wrench to tighten them down.

The important thing, I got to ride yesterday!
