Great find. I used to live near there, and blasted Banner out of Julian many times (and got run down by a fat CHP on foot, as I turned in the fire dept driveway that looked like an antique store) . There's a wicked left 180 off camber just before zinging down to Yaqui Pass ... and the open stretch to hit top speed to Salton Sea. Thanks for the memory kick! * The opposite road out of Julian towards Ramona (old SR67) is even better.

For me I was just in the zone, unfortunately not actually there but I've been on some roads in VA, NC, WV and other places that it reminded me of.

I do need to get to the left coast on two wheels some day.
