rattle can paint matching
« on: January 16, 2019, 07:41:20 PM »
Duplicolor's, "Inferno Red Mica" for a Chrysler is a pretty close match to BMW's Baja Red. It seems to be slightly more orange than BMW's.
After a parking lot incident, and some body work on the fender and upper fairing, I'm trying to rattle can re-paint just those two pieces.
Yes, I know the best answer is to take all the painted pieces off, get them down to bare metal/fiberglass, and match.
Yesterday I put what I think will be the last color coat on the fender. Next I'll put on a few layers of lacquer clear coat.
Once I get my process down, and the bodywork done, I'll paint the whole upper fairing.
