Dumped my bike today
« on: January 16, 2019, 06:32:02 PM »
A couple times, actually. In retrospect, probably should have taken the mtn bike with wider knobbies, but it was back in the shed and most of the bike paths had been cleared.  All is well, got in 19 miles and made it home for refreshments.

Ok, I'm not the only whack job out pedaling in the snow!!

I get lots of flack for riding my Ural all winter, sub zero weather and snow.  Used to snow ski, it's good fun and while freezing your ass off.  Using cold weather gear from Motorcycling and skiing I'm good bicycling for a couple hours in the high 20s, then my toes start to freeze.  Need to look into electric socks.  I can see the advantages to a fat bike, I might have made it 3 more feet to the pavement

Great to see you aren't timid about weather, and skinny tires can still climb.
