Five Aces - K-Unit BTH
« on: January 13, 2019, 11:04:55 AM »
Anyone tried the K-Unit BTH, looks interesting but I can't see any reviews or anything from anyone who has actually fitted one. Cheers Andy

Thanks j o.

Do you think that maybe I only wanted tio hear from people who already knew what  they were ?

I asked If anyone had fitted one, if they had then they would know what they were and they would not need me to post links and photos.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Hey Andy! Welcome to the forum. Don't mind the old wood floating around here. Good luck with whatever your project is! I personally haven't run one of those gauges, just fitted a motogadget motoscope mini.

Best - Dunc.

Welcome. I had a look at them and came to the conclusion that Phones are for phone calls and Motorcycles need proper wired instrumentation. Its a clever solution and obviously works but I felt the weak link in the arrangement has to be the mobile phone and the capacity for it to fail. Much more interesting I think is the Tenet made by the same company which links direct to a wired speedo and bypasses all the wiring difficulties too. I went down the Marulab route but this looks much easier and cheaper.

Thanks Duncwerks and Slinky. I was originally looking for the Tenet and found it on the Five Aces website, then I noticed the K-Unit  BTH and thought this looked rather cool. I am doing a Street Scrambler type project and wanted to have no permanent clocks when parked up. Was thinking of going idiot lights only and then use phone for speed using GPS but they I came across these Bluetooth units that still let you have a full dashboard without permanent clocks. Very cool😂😂😂
