Front brake master cylinder replace
« on: October 03, 2018, 11:43:28 AM »
Put a new front master cylinder in my '85 K100 RT.

Mainly I put the new one in because the old one was leaking fluid. Afterwards I noticed how consistency of front braking was improved, which gave me more margin in extreme braking situations, since I didn't have to wonder how much braking force I may or may not have.

Shout out to the guys from Beemer Boneyard! I ordered their Aftermarket 13mm Front Brake Master Cylinder Rebuild, $62.95 (US) https://www.beemerboneyard.com/32722302356.html It shipped quickly, and was a good product.

Good to know since Magura is being a dick about rebuild kits.  Always been happy with BBY, great place.  https://www.beemerboneyard.com/32722302356.html

+1 for BBY. Ordered the same kit you did. Installed, bled, and turned the handlebars full Left for the night to burp. Confidence inspiring for certain.
