Greetings Motobrickers!

I've been riding my K100 for nine years now, and have been lurking on here for about as long.
I broke my little green starter button last week and ended up here while searching for a fix.
I guess its about time I joined.
I had to try 3 times before I got the last question right.

Here's my bike:

Welcome!  Nice brick.  How far north of Toronto are you?  There is a fair contingent of Brickers around Southern Ontario.

Thank you.
I'm about 50 miles north, on Lake Simcoe.

Grass & trees looks like my sisters yard near Davis (9) & Warden ...

Do I need to make some more start buttons? Have Delrin in white or UHMW in orange, red, black.

Hi Ed,

Your sister lives about halfway between the city and my place.
I tried to access your profile to PM you but the site wouldn't let me.
I assume that's because I'm new here.

If you want to make more buttons I'm sure you will find plenty of buyers. Me included.
I'm a third generation machinist. We should talk.

Cheers!

Dad was an aero engineer. By training I'm a printing press tech, but my skill-sets are all over the map. Woodturning is a hobby. Those 3 machines I'm rebuilding, pictured in the 'start button' thread, are stone mills I'll guess at well over 40 years old.

There's a member, Bill, must be close to you in Sutton with an 88 K100 LT.

My Dad worked on the Avro Arrow, among other things.
I live in Sutton too. Yes I know Bill. Helluva nice guy!
Very helpful fellow rider.

Tell Bill to stop by once in a while.  Hasn't been here in a long time.  Is he still riding his K100?

Nice looking bike. Glad you came out of the shadows. Nine years....you're a lucky man. And you've come to the right spot. I'm guessing Bill got into a repair in a big way and then life got in the way!! Hopefully he'll get that Brick back together. There is a good good group in the GTA and Buffalo area (Gryph!). We should gather more but don't seem to. That "life get's in the way" thing....sucks a bit.

Ed can do you up a nice button in mahogany, too, if you like. Spice it up a bit!!
