Recidivist Bricker
« on: August 26, 2018, 01:35:03 PM »
Greetings Brickmeisters.

My first bike after 20 years ‘resting’ was a silver K100RS, it had no MOT (safety licence) nor I any experience of tourers, but I loved the sheer heft and solid engineering.

Ten years later a 38k ‘96 k1100 has come up for sale.

The splines need lubing at 40k, so a major service. The plastics of a 21 year old bike are becoming brittle, and major seals will leak soon enough. Oh, and it’d be a third bike.

Am I mad?

Mad not to maybe.. go for it!  A spline lube can be done yourself pretty easily and 38,000 is barely broken in.

Am I mad?
That's one possibility. Welcome! Post some photos of your motos.

Am I mad?

I'd say "check your mood ring" but can't find a corresponding color for "mad"
