I think 1650 is a fair price. For myself, I think trying to low-ball is self-defeating. At some point, you just piss off the owner and they won't sell to you on principle. I had a guy once drive four hours to see a truck I was selling for a very good price. I told him it was non-negotiable, and if he didn't want to pay it, don't waste his or my time. When he got here, he offered me $500 less than my asking. I told him to leave and drive back to where he came from, and I sold it the next day to a guy who wrote a check for the full, very fair amount I was asking. So the guy drove 8 hours and wasted who knows on fuel, just because...well, because he was an asshole.
