SOLD: Wrecked 1985 K100RS Partout
« on: July 13, 2018, 04:14:33 PM »
After a serious wreck, I'm parting out my '85 K100RS.

There are no cosmetic parts worth saving apart from the front fender. Everything else is broken badly. Frame is bent.

The motor also has a small hole in the crank cover from sliding, but the motor shut down before it ran without oil. Motor should be good. Transmission is good. Recent spline lube. Clutch is good. Driveshaft and final drive are good.

All three calipers have brake pads with under 200 miles of use. Braided brake lines all the way around. Rebuilt front master cylinder. Needs reservoir replaced.

Luftmeister exhaust was ceramic coated, bit shows a little rust popping up. Not sure why.

The bike was running perfectly and had approximately 38k miles on it.

Bike is located in Franklin, NC (ZIP 28734). PM with parts requests.

Bump, most major parts sold...front end, brakes, braided lines, exhaust, emblems, rotors, etc. The fan went to save a guy riding his bike from Canada to Mexico.

Things that are left off the top of my head:

Coils
Engine longblock
Complete transmission, good splines
Good rear shock
Pretty much all the electronic bits and bobs
ECU
Engine sensors
MAF
Kickstand
Centerstand
Rear wheel
Swingarm
Final Drive
Driveshaft
Rear rotor
I think that's about it.

Don't hesitate to ask. What's left will be going to scrap soon.

Everything is now sold. The complete engine and drivetrain are going to a guy in Arkansas, the front end is sold to Ohio, miscellaneous bits and pieces have found homes in other areas, and the cooling fan already saved a guy on a cross-country trip. The pieces live on.

Thanks to everyone who bought something. Maybe I'll be back on a K at some point. Thanks to everyone for the help on my project.
