Oh hai, from Virginia!
« on: June 04, 2018, 07:18:52 PM »
I am a young motorcyclist with about 18 bikes already under my belt, and I just picked up my first K75, a 1995 silver K75 with the low seat & hard cases. I am absolutely in love with this bike! I also have a 2000 BMW R1100R, and that bike is also great, but very different. The K75 just feels like an amazing combination of engine, transmission, and overall design. My rear splines have been lubricated, and the bike shifts great. I might look into lubing the front splines once we get into winter (bike has 29k miles on it currently). This forum is an excellent resource. Pretty much every question I can think of has already been answered (twice). I will be lurking for a while, as I get started on some basic maintenance. I am looking forward to putting a lot of miles on this beast. Once I find the right price on a top case, I might start planning my first long trip. Who knows, I might even look for another K75 when the time is right!

yes, K's are different beasts than oilheads or airheads I've had.  They hit a high water mark with the K75 I've always felt, good combination or sport, touring, easy maintenance, practicality, and a couple of idiosyncrasies thrown in to keep it interesting.

Welcome to the best place for motobrick information.

There are a few of us here from the Old Dominion, in fact I found my first K75S in the Bon Air area of Richmond through a Craig's List ad.

welcome aboard, K-bikes: once bitten, forever smitten!
I'm a displaced yankee (rhode island) brought to VA by the Army, somehow managed to drop my anchor here.
It's not a bad place to call home though I'll never be a Virginian given my northern heritage.

I grew up in New England and I live in New York . . . but I imported my wife from Virginia . . . and I met her there while I was traveling on my 85 K100 . . .

Why not show us some pictures of your K75?

Photo posted! Also, I took off the windscreen after I got the bike home. I am a naked-bike guy, for the most part. I have to say, I am AMAZED at how smooth the airflow is on this bike on the highway! Everything about this bike seems so well designed. This silver fox is a keeper for sure.
