New from Down East Maine
« on: March 10, 2018, 11:38:08 AM »
Hi team,

I'm a long timer from Advrider who found this site while researching K75s.  The information gleaned thus far has been outstanding.  To all of you who share wisdom and advice so willingly, thank you.

I sold my '02 1150GS to a buddy in search of a project K75.  During my hunt I ran into a very good man (Tom who used to manage the parts counter at Country Rode) who had already done the Scrambler Kit I had my eyes on (from Unit Garage - Marrakech Scrambler).  He wound up selling me his completed project for a once in a lifetime deal, so my need for a project bike disappeared.  Now I just need to keep my eyes and ears open and learn from the team.

Thanks for having me.  I'm reminded of the guy who said he would never join a club that would admit him....Must be a lesson in there somewhere.

Welcome!

That's an attractive rendition of a K75. May it take you everywhere you want to go.

The exhaust is especially nice. The snow tires will come in handy.

I've been using these on my mountain bike:

Works good on this kind of trail:

I guess the intricacies of posting multiple photos is still too much for me.  Second try:

That K75 looks familiar.  I've seen it before either here or on some fb post.  One of the nicer custom jobs.

duc1b, just picked up a mountain bike, I can explore the bunny trails while my 12 yr old attacks the black diamonds.  He even helped me put it together!

Does this look familiar? Like duc1b indicated, it was a kit build. He just eliminated the build part and went straight to the pay-and-ride. :giggles

Like I said earlier, the builder made me a deal that didn't make sense to pass on.  I could not have done what he provided (K75, kit, ABS upgrade, new rubber, forks upgrade) for the 6k he asked.  This is one of the simpler no-brainer decisions I've ever had (the kind I like).

Right now I'm just waiting for a break in the weather so I can get out to Rochester and ride it home.

Hey, sorry to bring this up from so long time ago. I'm wondering, how is that seat working for you? Is it comfortable?
