"The Henry" 1985 BMW K100RS
« on: January 15, 2018, 11:17:05 PM »
Long time stalker, first time poster! My overly ambitious 2018 goal is to complete this project...or at least the first phase of this (as we all know some of these projects never end). Directionally going for a cafe racer style, but I typically like strange hybrid machines so we'll see. I also name my bikes after the previous owners who sell them, so...

Introducing, "The Henry" an '85 K100RS with over 134K miles, at least what the odometer says, which died over 2 years ago. Still pumps out a healthy 130 to 135 psi in compression, talk about over-engineering. Nonetheless needs a TON of TLC, rusted frame, been stolen, knocked over, dropped once (by me as far as I know on the first day  :dunno ).

And here's the before and after photos!

Good luck with your project. The hose clip on the radiator is shiny, start there. It has a lot of rust on the rear frame. Its a good job you'll be cutting it off.
