Anyone Using Handlebar/Handguard Gauntlets???
« on: January 04, 2018, 08:11:42 AM »
Okay, I’ll admit... They look rediculous; however, they work. I’m in the Carolinas where the temps have been hovering in the 20’s these past few days. I’ve been riding just fine as the roads are remaining dry and clear. I like the two pair of winter riding gloves I’m using now, and would rather leave the electrical connection for the wife’s heated gloves. As such, I’m researching the bar end covers (as titled), and was interested to see if anyone is using them on their Bricks. I’d like to go back and forth between my K and my R, but mostly need them for my K. Anyone using these things, and would recommend them? I know their all the scooter rage in Europe and I see motorcycles with them all the time; just not here in the US.

I think they look great!  I stopped riding if there was a chance of ice on the roads until I got my Ural in 2012.  Now winter riding is the best part of motorcycling.  I found the original Vetter Hippo Hands on ebay, luv 'em.  Going out today in 10F with just medium weight gloves and no electric heat.  They might need a little modification to fit properly, they're designed for late 70's era bikes.  I put a grommet in for the mirror stalks and some other minor items, but should be easy to fit to a K bike too.
