Can I fit a K1100LT rear wheel to my K1100 LT (91)?
If not does anyone know anyone that wants to swap a K1100LT rear wheel (powder coated black gloss) for a K1100RS rear wheel?

Did you mean fit a K1100RS wheel to your K1100LT?.

don't ask... stupid girl mistake... couldn't find a RS rear wheel so ended up getting frustrated and purchased a LT rear wheel assuming it would fit (couldn't imagine why it wouldn't) ... got it powder coated (straight up.. didnt check) and now the guy at the shop fitting the wheel tells me it doesn't fit.. so whats the trick?

I got tired of peeps telling me my rear wheel was buckled plus I assumed it wasn't so safe so jumped on the first 3 spoke K1100 rear wheel I could find on eBay... :dunno2: :dunno2: :dunno2:

. . . will it fit?
Yes it will,but why?. . .
The wheel will fit but if it is a stock LT wheel you might discover that your bike handles differently and you won't be able to swap the tire if your RS wheel was stock size. The diameter of a stock K1100RS rear wheel is 18". The diameter of a stock LT rear wheel is 17".

... stupid girl mistake...
From the posts I've read on this site, mistakes like that are made by members of all six genders here, and very likely even by grizzled members with 40 years of riding experience, so you've joined the club in good standing. Congratulations! :giggles

It will be helpful, Na, if in your profile you edit your bike's model to K1100RS—if that is what it is—and include its year because some changes occurred in different years. That helps responders to your questions know exactly what you're discussing.

"...stupid girl mistake..."

Not really, last year, I bought a three spoke wheel for my K75RT.  Got it home, put the tire on it and when I went to install the brake rotors discovered I had bought a K1100LT wheel which has different rotors.  DOH!!!

Owning three bricks and doing a ton of work on them you would think I might have noticed before it was ready to go on the bike.
