Hahaha Valid Question - i mean the original Speedo sensor in the rear wheel and the motoscope pro reading it to display the correct speed....

i don't really want to install another speedo sensor; i'd rather use the original

I tried this but couldn't make it work. The OEM signal is too weak. I've also tried a BEP, but the signal it put out to the Motoscope was way to uneven.

I ended up using the magneto sensor that came with the Motoscope and it works fine. I hid the sensor under the rear wheel caliper and glued the magneto to the rotor.

The OEM speed sensor is a variable reluctance transducer that is incompatible with modern digital gauges. The output from the sensor needs to be conditioned to work properly, that is converted to a square wave of 12V amplitude. I build  a TGPI gear indicator circuit with such a conditioner included.  In addition I have an additional circuit to condition the engine RPM signal for a clean tach reading.  I can build the board with just the conditioning circuitry for CA$21.00.  http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,3421.0.html

Yes, my Motogadget Chronoclassic is successfully using the stock speed sensor in the final drive with rbm's TGPI board.

rbm's contribution and knowledge in the K Bike electronic arena can not be overstated.
